Week 11 – The Cat Book

Rachel the Cat went to the beach one day. She brought her boat and bucket along with her to the beach. She built a sandcastle with a moat around it. She wanted to float the boat in the moat.

But the moat did not have any water!

She realized she could use her bucket and fill it up with water to pour around the sandcastle in th moat.

She went to the water and filled her bucket up.

She happily went back to the castle. She was going so fast and wasn’t looking where she was going and there was an umbrella left on the ground.

She tripped on the umbrella and the bucket…

… fell on her head!

She filled up her bucket with water again and put her boat in it and it floated.

Week 10 – Grown-up Me

When I grow up, I want to be a mom. I will get married and have seven children. I want to be a mom because I love children. I’m going to teach them, and make them learn Math, and let them learn Spelling, and go the store with them, and take them to InjaNation. When I am a mom, my children will clean up their own messes. If you got it out, you should clean it up.

Week 5 – How Do You Do That?

First, you need some sliced bread, crunchy peanut butter, bananas and a butter knife.

Then, take a slice of bread, take a knife and dip it in the jar of peanut butter and take the knife out and spread the crunchy peanut butter on the bread with the knife.

Next, peel open a banana and slice some of the banana off. Take these pieces and lay it out row by row, four banana pieces on each row, on the slice of bread with the peanut butter.

When you’re done laying out the bananas on the bread, take another slice of bread and place it on top of the sliced bananas.

Now you have a Peanut Butter and Banana Sandwich.

Then, eat it.

When you’re done, wash the dishes.

Week 4 – The Visitor

Grandma and Grandpa came for a visit. After dinner, we went to bed. When we woke up, Grandma and Grandpa were still asleep. They sleep downstairs in the basement on the guest bed.

Nathan, Gabe, Abigail, Emily, and Sophia go down to the basement together. We go down the stairs very quietly. When we’re in the guest room, we start jumping on Grandpa! Grandpa says, “Oochie-ba!” Then he falls asleep so we turn on the lights. Then he gets up and we turn off the lights. And then we go upstairs and have some breakfast.

I really like when Grandpa and Grandma come for a visit.

The End

Week 4 – Story Elaboration

Luke swam. Luke won.

Once upon a time there was a boy named Luke. He lived in Kelowna and he went swimming a lot. The pool had waterslides but they were closed. It also had a River Run.

One day there was a race. Luke raced Joshua, Nathan, Gabe, Abigail, and Emily. They swam around the River Run eight times. Luke swam quickly like a doggy. Luke won because the others weren’t doggy paddling, but they were floating.

Luke won some candy. By the time the others got to the end of the race, Luke was gone with his candy.

Week 3 – Bolt Buddies

LA K – Week 3 – Bolt Buddies

Mac and his robot were playing in the garden.  Then they got tired and they decided to ask their mom if they could have a popsicle. And after they finished their popsicle they decided they wanted to have a nap.   And when they woke up they felt refreshed.  And they decided to find their mom but she was in the kitchen making pandesal. So after that they wanted to go outside and play in the garden again.  Then it was the robot’s birthday and so they went on the porch to read the robot’s card. The next day they went and did the same thing, just without the card. They played outside for a long time. Then, they went inside because it was getting dark. And they went to bed. The End.
