Week 19 – Travel Journal

When I went to China, I saw pandas, and I ate shrimp. The shrimp was so delicious. I saw the emperor go and move around on a mat attached to four poles carried by four men. The emperor was wearing a beautiful yellow robe and a little special hat that matched his robe. I danced, I went to parties, feasts, and festivals. And when I walked by the food shop I smelled appetizing smells, and my mouth watered. I took a break from my walk and got some food.   I ate shrimp, eels, and I drank tea.  When I continued on my walk, I heard tons of people talking in Chinese, and I learned some Chinese myself!

Week 2 – A Picture is Worth a Thousand Words

Once upon a time, a boy named Nathan and his dog were walking by the construction site. Suddenly, the dog leapt into a bucket. Nathan had to follow the dog and so he did .

The dog would not come out. Then the bucket started going and started to move forward. “What was going on?” exclaimed Nathan. They were going up and up and up. Soon the bucket was being dumped into a dump truck, and they were taken off to the dump, to be dumped in the dump. “Oh No!” shouted Nathan. “We’re going to get dumped in the dump.” The dog had fallen asleep and now had woken up because of Nathan’s shout. The dog was scared, for they were up high, very high.

And the dump truck had already reached the dump and they had gotten dumped out into a pile of garbage. “Yuck! This stinks!” yelled Nathan. “We’ve got to get home before mom gets worried.” And they brushed themselves off and went home. Nathan told mom the whole story and she was glad he was safe. She told him never to go to the construction site again and sent him to have a nap with his dog.

The End

Week 16 – Interview a Character

Hi l’m Mcbroom this is my biography . I jumped out of bed and started playing with the wind up chicken then I wound up too much and exploded into a million pieces. So I started reading my favourite book how to farm with farmer Bob. I liked the country. A couple of years later I moved to the country and had lots of children and lots and lots and lots and lots and lots and lots and lots. “OK OK” I think you get it now. But don’t forget I lots of children. but I got tricked and cheated but it ended up for good we had nice good soil on on our farm ,and as soon as you planted a thing the thing that you planted pops out full-grown. Once I planned it a pumpkin seed and it came right out and hit in the face and knocked me out. My favourite things to do we’re racing pumpkins and farming my favourite holiday isn’t a holiday for most people but mine was going to the fair and I liked it, Because I really ever got to go to the city and I still live there to this day. (oh and by the way my face is black and blue from pumpkins).

Week 36 – What I Learned

It is so crazy how small a nucleus inside an atom is. If atoms were the size of blueberries, the nucleus would still be so small that you couldn’t see it. If an atom was the size of a house, you still couldn’t see the nucleus. If an atom were the size of a football stadium, you would finally see the nucleus, but it would still only be the size of a small marble.

Week 36 – I Improved!

I would not sell my brother Gabe for anything. Army vehicles are his favourite and he does sound effects and hand movements that represent explosions and running men being shot(we tease him about the sound effects). He’s funnier than a million clowns. He is as nice as a baby deer. We love him very much and to me, me + Gabe = happiness and me and Gabe – Gabe = sadness.

Week 34 – Favorite book

Lord of the rings (by J R R Tolkien*) is full of : adventure, suspense, courage, surprise and every kind of Movement and excitement possible.Every thing in the book jumps out at you. the book is so descriptive that you feel like your in it. You wish you could go to middle-earth and follow Frodo as he travels to the cracks of doom to foil the dark lord in his evil plan.
