Week 24 – Give a Character Advice

Dear Donald Roger Cabot,

You shouldn’t have killed Mr. Kildee’s raccoon. Mr Kildee was so sad that you killed his raccoon. It is not nice to kill raccoons because they might be somebody’s pet. It I were you, I would just leave them alone so Emma Lou wouldn’t be mad at you and Mr. Kildee would still have his pet.

Please be careful what you shoot at. Maybe you should shoot at targets instead.

Week 16 – A New Tale

Once upon a time a boy named Nathan wanted to get a dog. It was a sunny day. Nathan had a happy face and was whistling as he walked.

When he arrived at the pet store, he walked in happily. To his surprise everything was out of its cage. The bird had the fish in its claws. And the dogs were chasing the cats.

Nathan asked the storekeeper what was happening. The storekeeper answered him, “I will help you after you help me round up the animals and put them in their cages”.

“OK,” I said. “I will help.”

After they put the animals away in their cages, the store keeper told him what happened. “First a criminal came in and while I wasn’t looking he opened the cages and let the animals out. The animals running around and started chasing each other when you came.”

“I will help you,” I said, “if you let me keep all the animals.”

The storekeeper answered him, “I will let you keep them if you call the police and tell them to catch the criminal.”

“OK,” I said. “I will go call the police right now. While you are gone I will feed the animals.”

After he called the police and the criminal was caught, he helped clean up the mess. He was rich and didn’t care about how much it cost. He bought all the pets and went home happily.

The end.

Week 36 – Book Report

The Hobbit, by J. R.R. Tolkien, vividly describes the adventures of Bilbo Baggins the hobbit who has big feet, does not need shoes, and likes the comforts of home. He gets whisked away by a band of dwarves to raid the treasure of Smaug, a large and magnificent dragon. Bilbo and the dwarves face giant spiders, orcs, trolls, elves, and men. After his adventure, Bilbo comes home finding his stuff up for auction. I like this book because it is exciting and vivid and I can’t wait to see what happens next.

Week 30 – Two Possible Stories

Two Possible Stories

Once there was a city, a far-off city, that kept on being attacked by the giants. One brave man went to fight the giants, but no one would go with him. He took a sword, a bow, a dagger, and a survival kit. Then he went to the giants in a hot air balloon. He landed in some rocky crevices and soon spotted the giants. They were everywhere! They had battle axes, swords, arrows, and clubs. The man put an arrow to the string and fired, but missed. A giant threw a sword. It sailed through the air and hit his balloon. Another giant hit his balloon with an arrow. He ran as quickly as he could toward his balloon and got inside. He flew away and the arrow feII. He landed safely to see his dog staring up at him.

THE END.

Week 29 – Migration

Here are some fun facts about salmon and how they go to the place where they were born.they get there by swimming. it is a long swim usually. they start from an ocean or lake. and they go to the place where they were born so that they could have babies. they don’t go to live there. they only go to have babies then they swim back. they are probably happy when we get there and exhausted from the long journey. happy because there are about to have babies. when they go back they have to face many dangers they have to face fisherman and other kinds of fish they also have to jump over waterfalls upwards. They wait for the eggs to hatch. then go back on the same long journey back towards home.with the babies after they have already grown up.

Week 26 – Powerless Play

When the power goes out, Hot Wheels are the perfect thing! You don’t need electricity, and you can set up a track all around the house, with jumps, loops, and tracks on the ceiling. Just don’t trip on the tracks or get hit by the cars. Also, you can play with Lego by candlelight. We could build towers out of Lego so the Hot Wheels cars can hit break, destroy, wreck, and damage your Lego towers. If you don’t want to do that, just go exploring outside in the black of night and listen to wolves howl. Or just do it in the daylight and go with Dad who will take you off the path into the forest, or in a muddy place, or to lakes, rivers, and ponds. It’s pretty fun when the power goes out!

Week 15 – Point of View Fairy Tale

I just woke up from a nap. I sniffed the air. I could smell a human. He was trying to steal my treasure! I was in a rage!

“You bad human” I shouted. “I will put you on the bbq now!”

He scrambled to a beanstalk. He began to climb it. I stomped toward him. He climbed faster. I Began to climb after him. He jumped down. He took out his axe! He swung it! I heard a cracking noise. I began to fall. My head hit against a rock. I began to see lights (I was unconscious.) When I woke up the human was gone and so was my gold. THE END

Week 8 – Imagine Yourself in History

Living in Viking times, which is about 1000 AD, would be hard, but exciting. You would have to grow and harvest wheat, cabbage and peas and other stuff instead of just going to the store and buying bread and veggies. You would have to live in a cold long house that didn’t have and windows. My house is much more warm and comfortable. You would also get to hunt and travel to places you’ve never been. Raiding would be dangerous, but you would get gold and silver. And if I had a pet wolf it would help me catch things. But I’m glad I live in 2017 AD, where it’s safe and comfortable.
