Week 33 – Make Up a Song

Sing to the tune of Twinkle Twinkle/Alphabet song.

Diggers are my favourite thing,
I like how their long arms swing.
Into the dirt they work so fast,
now I want to see them last.
And they even work at night,
After night they’re out of sight!

Second verse by Daddy:

Diggers are my favorite toy,
I love them like every boy.
I like to go “Vroom! Vroom! Vroom!”
while I excavate my room.
Watch out for the great big arm;
I don’t want to wreck the barn!

Week 32 – Story Elaboration

Ed and Pam are musicians. They went to the festival so that they could play music with the other musicians in the band. Ed taps the drums really hard so the music is really loud, but the drumsticks don’t break because they are made of steel. Pam sings really well because she practised a lot. They like the pretty music that they’re making. They people liked the music a lot more than they usually do, because it was a lot prettier than the other times they played, because this time they had practised a lot and got really good. When they were done, they went home and had peanut butter sandwiches.

(The original story: Ed taps a drum. Pam sings. They create music.)

Week 31 – My Favourite Game

How to play soccer

You need some running shoes that have big grips on the bottom to help you run fast. You need shirts and shorts so you’re actually dressed up. Your shorts need stripes and your shirt needs stripes and if you win you get a ribbon. You need a soccer ball that has black pads on it and white pads on it. You need a net and a goaliekeeper, only one net.

The ball stands right in front of you and you have to back up a little bit and when you hear some noise–the coach make a noise–you have to run up to the soccer ball and kick it. You want to kick the soccer ball into the net. When you kick in ball into the net, its called a score. The other team tries to stop you and get the ball. If they get the ball from you, you have to try and get it back. If somebody has the ball and you want to score, you have to take the ball from the person who has it. If the goaliekeeper tries to block you, you try to get in between the legs. You can’t use your hands. You use your legs to kick it, if you are the goaliekeeper and are near your net, you can use your hands. If there are problems that stop you, you might not win. If I get more scores than you, I win.

The End.

Week 30 – Blown Away

week30The Windmill was sitting on the grass. The wind was so strong at the sea that it blew the water off the sea and it hit the Windmill and cut that rope that was pulling it down. The bottom of the Windmill that attached it to the ground broke and it flew up. The fruit flew out of the Windmill. A plane came to get the food and put it back in the Windmill so if they get hungry they can eat. Before the plane got the food, the plane landed and attached the rope again. And then he put the food inside the Windmill.  The End.

Week 29 – The Big Storm

I came out of my bed and Daddy and Mommy let me come to the window to see what was going on. I saw the tree shaking and bending. I heard the thunder and I started crying because it was so loud. I saw lightning, it looked like squiggles. The lightning was bright and the thunder was dark. There was clouds and the clouds were grey. It was raining a lot. When it was the storm, I wish I could go out and play and splash in the puddles. Mommy and Daddy wouldn’t let me because I would get hurt by the lightning. After the storm was over I didn’t go outside because I forgot all about it. The tree was like this (leaning over in chair), it bended. We cut it down, but I think another one is gonna grow back up.  The End.
