They left the store and went home. They ate bananas, bread and butter and drank milk. That was their dinner.

The end.

Week 23 – An Odd Place to Surface

One day Nathan and Gabe were in the kitchen putting dishes away. They heard something in the living room. It sounded like something was dropping into their fishbowl. So Gabe looked around the corner and saw a diver!  But he was not a real diver.  He was a toy diver that was as big as Abigail’s hand.  Somebody had dropped him into the fishbowl and left him behind. Who did it?  It couldn’t have been Nathan because he was busy in the kitchen.  Mommy and Daddy were in the kitchen too, helping the boys. Sophia was in bed taking a nap. Emily would not do such a thing. Abigail must have done it! Nathan and Gabe asked Abigail if she dropped the diver into the fishbowl. And Abigail said, “Yes. I thought the diver wanted to have his boat back.” The boys were angry at Abigail. Then Emily said, “I put the boat in the fishbowl.” And the boys were angry with her too. They girls said, “Sorry” and the boys weren’t angry anymore and let the girls play with their Lego.

Week 22 – When I Was Sick

Last week, I was sick with a cold. Emily was sick with a cold, too. I had a runny nose a lot. Mommy and Daddy wiped my nose. They taked care of me. They also gave me a kleenex box that was empty so that I can put my used kleenex into it. That was wonderful because then I don’t have to go the bathroom to put my used kleenex in the garbage. I take medicine. The medicine helps you feel better. I do not like being sick. I won’t put my fingers in my mouth so that I won’t get sick.

Week 21 – Read-Aloud Summary (Lady and the Tramp)

This is a story about two very different dogs. Lady is a pet dog from a lovely family. Tramp is a street dog that saved Lady from a bunch of bully dogs. Tramp and Lady started to love each other. One day, Lady is caught by the dogcatcher and she is upset with Tramp because it was his fault she got caught. Tramp saves the family’s baby from a rat, so Lady and her family like Tramp and now he belongs to the lovely family too.

Week 19 – And They Lived Happily Ever After

Jack and the Beanstalk. We read to the point of story where Jack climbs the beanstalk, finds gold, takes some and then the giant comes in. Abigail now finishes the story.

The giant came to Jack and took his gold out of Jack’s pockets. Then Jack ran away without the giant looking. And he ran away as fast as he can. Jack ran out of the castle and went down the beanstalk and ran away as he can run. He went home.
The giant was angry. He didn’t know that Jack went home. He stomped away and told his guards, “He escaped!”

Original Story: Pat built a house. The house collapsed.

The Lego house collapsed. Then Pat was sad and ran away. Sam said, “Pat, come back, I want to say sorry.” Pat came back and Sam gave Pat a hug and they both built a house together. Pat and Sam loved each other and they lived happily ever after.

The End.

Note: Pat and Sam are brothers.
