Week 10 – Grown-Up Me

When I grow up, I’m going to be a Mommy. I haven’t been a Mommy before, so when I growed up I was being a Mommy. I will live at the house that I will live at. My own house with my children and my husband. I will do school with my seven kids. They were babies, but they know how to walk now. I will bake food like sushi. And I will eat and call them to sit down. I will wash the dishes. I drive the car with my seven children, and my husband. We will go to a hotel to swim in the pool because we are going on a vacation. The end.

Week 8 – Finish the Story

Original story: Sue and Bob wanted to help Mom make lunch. Sue pulled out the bread. Sue spread peanut butter and jelly on the bread. She put the sandwiches on a plate. She put place mats on the table. Bob got some peaches and washed them. He put the peaches into a bowl. Bob also poured milk into glasses.

The Abigail ending:
Bob and Sue ate with their Mother. Mother said thank you. When they were done they took a walk. Then they went to the pool.

The End.

Week 6 – The Day I Was Two Inches Tall

Once upon a time, I tried getting out of my bed but I couldn’t because I couldn’t hold on to the ladder because I was only two inches tall and my hands were too small to grab the ladder. So I called Mommy and Daddy. They came and helped me down.

They said, “What happened to you?”
“I shrinked” I said.
“Would you like to walk downstairs?”

They helped me walk because I was too little to walk. I walked into the toy room. I walked near my sister, Emmy. Emmy said, “why are you shrinked?” “Because when I got out of bed I didn’t notice when I was shrinked.”

“Emmy, watch out where you’re walking. You might step on me!” Emmy got a T-Rex out and I ran as fast as I could but I can’t ran any faster. I was slow because I was too little. I was scared because I thought the dinosaur was going to eat me. Then I stopped running but the dinosaur came near me and ate me! I was saying, “don’t eat me, no, don’t eat me.”

The story is done because that was my dream.

Week 5 – How Do You Do That?

Abigail's LacingI am going to teach you how to do Lacing. You will need a long shoelace, and a lacing board. A lacing board has holes everywhere except the inside. The holes go around the picture. First you take the end of the shoelace and pick up the picture, and put the shoelace through whatever hole you want. Pull the shoe lace through a little bit. Then you take the same shoelace end and pull it through the next hole. Then you take the same end in pull it through the next hole again. Keep on putting it through the next hole until you are back at the start. If you run out of shoelace, you can take the other end of the shoelace and put it through the hole behind the first one that you did. Keep going. If you have no more holes left, then you are done.

Week 4 – Story Elaboration

Original story: Luke swam, Luke won.

Once upon a time there as a boy that was named Luke. One morning he saw a beautiful day. He went outside and felt like winning. He thought it wasn’t too cold, it was hot outside. He put on a sweater. He took off his sweater and put on his swim stuff and jumped inside the pool. His friends were in the same pool. They wanted to have a swimming race. Luke said, “You guys won’t win. I feel like winning today!” They said, “How bout we try winning? If Luke wons, we won’t win!”

Luke had a baby sister that didn’t know how to swim so she went on Luke’s back. She made him go faster as she waved her arms in the water and said, “Too hot! Too cold!” Then she said, “Are you going to win?” Luke said, “I think I’m going to win.”

Luke won by going faster than his friends. His friends said, “You won, you won; we didn’t win. You won, you won…” After the race they went inside and told their Mom and Dad that Luke won and the friends didn’t win. “That’s not good,” said Mom.
