Week 20 – They’re the Same-Only Different

Nathan and Joshua are brothers. They both looked the same when they were babies. They both are boys. They both have the same Mommy and Daddy. But Nathan is 8 years older than Joshy. Nathan doesn’t wear a bib but Joshy does. Nathan doesn’t have curly hair but Joshy does. Nathan also does school but Joshy doesn’t.

I love them both and I’m glad they are both my brothers (and don’t forget Gabe!)

Week 19 – Story Starter

Once there was a girl named Emily. She had a pet goose. The goose was a girl. Her name was Abigail. She was a green goose with wings ten feet long. It was the most happiest thing to ride on!

One morning Emily came out to ride the goose but the goose wasn’t there. After a while she found the goose and she flew over the whole city of Calgary. She flew over downtown and all the way to Edmonton and landed at her Grandma and Grandpa’s house. When they came to Grandma and Grandpa’s house they asked where the rest of the family was. Emily told them that they were at home but that she brought Joshua, holding him while she was flying over the city.

Emily had as much sleep overs as she wanted at Grandma and Grandpa’s house. She held Joshua as much as she wanted. She made sure that everything was OK. She fed Joshy and after awhile she came back home.

When she got home her Mommy and Daddy asked where had she gone. Emily said that she went to visit Grandma and Grandpa with Joshy on her pet goose Abigail.

Week 3 – Dictate Dialog

“I wish I had a hundred dollars!” said Emily
“What are you going to do with that,” said Nathan.
Emily said, “I’ll spend it on toys!”
Gabe said, “Are you really going to buy more toys with one hundred dollars?”
“I am,” said Emily. “As soon as we go to buy stuff, I’ll ask Mom if we can go to the toy section and buy some toys.”
Mom came in and said, “It’s time to go to Superstore and buy some food.”
“Can we go to Dollarama and buy some toys after?” asked Emily.
“We can go to Dollarama after we go to Superstore.”
“Ok.”

The End.

Week 34 – Painting Story

Once people were on a rocket to the moon. Those people are called astronauts. They hit a rock that made them crash onto another planet. But then they setup a flag and painted it American because they are American astronauts. And then they setup a big parascope to see back to their own world. Then they zoomed in a car around the planet to see if there were any mean dinosaurs. They did not find any mean dinosaurs. They found a good dinosaurs egg and tried to hatch it and the next day it was hatched. After it was hatched they tried feeding it with all the foods they had. The dinosaur said, “Thank you! I love you and want to be your pet!”

They went back home with the baby dinosaur and showed their mother and father what they got. Their mother and father were very impressed.

The End

P.S. By the time the got home it was a whole new year and they shouted, “Happy New Year!”

Week 33 – Rhyming Song

(to the tune of Twinkle Twinkle)

Drumheller has lots of dinosaurs
We found an hundred and seventy four
We also went to a swim in a pool
But when we came home we had to do school
Then we went to the Coal Mine
Our Northstar friends were there in a line

At the mine, we were in group two
We rode on a train and we ate food too.
I want to go back to Drumheller
But Mom and Dad said no, maybe later
This is the end of my rhyming song
Thanks for listening to my dong. 🙂

Week 33 – Narration

The first thing you see when you walk into the room is a big, huge, dark blue, twisty water slide. The pool water smells like chlorine. You see white chairs beside the big blue pool. After you go into the big pool, there is a hot tub. The hot tub feels warm. Once I went down to the bottom of the hot tub. There is a button on the wall and the sign says, “Please press this button and there will be bubbles.” When you press the button, bubbles come in the hot tub, not in the big pool. The bubbles make a sound but don’t have a smell. The bubbles make a “bab ba bab buh ba blub” sound. There are also lots of kids in the room and some people jump into the water and make a splash. It is noisy because of splashes and everyone is talking and yelling “weeeeeeeeee” down the big slide. There are ladders and steps so you can get in the water. The floor is wet and slippery. Mommy and Daddy tell us not to run because we will slip! And, at the other side of the big pool there are ladders on all the sides, at the top, and the sides. At the other side of the pool, it is DEEP! Mommy and Daddy told me not to go in there because I will drown. They also told me to stay near the stairs because it is not deep. There is a shower to wash off the chlorine when you’re done swimming in the big pool and the hot tub.

The End!

I wish you enjoy the story!

Week 33 – My Friend Venn

This is stuff that my brother Nathan does. He does not like math very much and I like math. He sleeps on the top bunk of our bunk bed and I sleep on the lower bunk. Nathan does not have glasses, but I do. We both read a lot. And we both like Lego. We have some things that are the same, and some things different, but we are still brothers and we love each other very much! (We don’t as much when we get into fights.)

Week 32 – Poem about Home

After I napped, I zapped my wrap while looking at our map.
In my home, I combed my hair alone, then I threw a bone.
If my house didn’t have me, it would be sad, and that would be bad.
But since my house has me, my house is happy, happy as a bee that has enough honey.
My favorite thing about my home is the books, but I am not one who cooks books.
If I had to move, I would miss the map. It’s so big, bigger than a pig with a wig.

Week 31 – Synthesis

A vivid description of going to the Bow Habitat.

This week we went to the Bow Habitat. It was very fun! We got to feed lots of fish. There were billions of fish! The fish were in gigantic tubs of water. It smelled like fish. We weren’t allowed to touch the fish because we would get the fish sick and they would die. We don’t want to do that because we don’t want to kill the fish. That’s why before we went into the room where the fish were in the tubs, we washed our hands.

You should go to the Bow Habitat because you’ll learn about fish.
