Our family likes to get mom a coffee. Sometimes there is a surprise after we get her a coffee. Like going to Invermere, or Calaway Park, or Drumheller. We like to swim in the pools at Drumheller and Invermere, and sometimes at our home. I like swimming with paddleboards. They help you float. We also like to read books. My favourite book is the Llama Who Had No Pajamas because it has funny poems. We also like Boxcar Children and pretend we are Jessie, Violet, Benny and Henry. I love my dwamwy (that’s how I used to say it when I was little).

Week 1 – Pat the Rat
Pat had his own bed. He was sleeping in it. Then Nat came into his house. Pat is a rat and Nat is a cat. Nat climbed up on Pat’s bunk bed and sat on top of Pat. Pat picked up his pillow and threw it in Nat’s face! Then Pat picked up his brown cane and started hitting, punching, and wacking Nat. Then Nat was sad, so he climbed down the bunk bed and ran away. Pat was glad that Nat was gone.
Then Pat went down for supper and he ate and had a party with his friends. There were lots of balloons and confetti at the party. After the party, it was night time so all his friends went home and Pat slept.
The End
Week 36 – What I Learned
It is so crazy how small a nucleus inside an atom is. If atoms were the size of blueberries, the nucleus would still be so small that you couldn’t see it. If an atom was the size of a house, you still couldn’t see the nucleus. If an atom were the size of a football stadium, you would finally see the nucleus, but it would still only be the size of a small marble.
Week 36 – I’m an Animal
I love to chase mice. I also like to go to the pond and look for tuna. When I am full, I like to go to back to my owner and start purring. At night time, I sleep in a comfy basket in the shed. During the day when I nap I sleep in the sun. One time I killed a mouse but I didn’t eat it. Instead I took Mrs. Tittlemouse and gave it to my owner because I like her.

Week 36 – Story Starter
Once upon a time, a family went to their garden to pull out their carrot. They only had one carrot. When they pulled it out, it was small. So they put it back in because they didn’t want a small carrot. Two years later, they pulled it out again. Now, it was huge. It was as tall as a person. It was 2 metres tall!
One day, when they finished school for the year, they went to the beach to camp. When they went to the beach, they brought their big carrot. They built a fire for light at night time. They also used the fire to roast the carrot. While the carrot was roasting, they danced around the carrot. They loved carrots. They were happy that they had the biggest carrot in the whole world.
They ate the carrot and they finished it all up and fell asleep on the sand because they were tired from dancing.
The end.
Week 35 – Free at Last! (Sword in the Tree)
When they got Lord Weldon out of the dungeon, Shan started telling him what happened. Lord Weldon was amazed at what they had done while he was locked up. He was amazed at how they had travelled so far on foot and how they had met King Arthur, and how he had took his sword of Lionel’s room. After Shan had finished telling his story, Lord Weldon asked where Marian was. Marian was surprised to see him again.
She said to Lord Weldon, “I thought you were dead!”
“Well, I am not dead,” said Lord Weldon with a smile.
After their conversation, they began to get things back on track. They sent away all of Lionel’s servants and got all of their own servants back that Lionel had sent away.
And Shan did become a knight.
The end.
Week 35 – Invent (A Big Ball of String)
I’m going to make a bridge out of string. Across the Bow River. I’m going to tell you how. First, you take a big ball of string and you tie one of the ends to a tree and the other end to another tree across the river. The water isn’t very deep, so you wear shorts and you walk across the river to other side. Climb up a hill, and then you have the other end of the string with you in your hand and you tie it to the tree. Now, you can go back and forth as long as you want. Back and forth across the bridge. You have to hang onto the string with your right hand, and then your left hand holds on, then your right, then your left and keep doing that until you get across. You have to move your hands one in front of the other, until you get to the other side. It’s not a very good bridge, but the string is all I have to use.
Week 34 – All a Dream?

Splash! Nathan jumped into the water at the beach. He began swimming and accidentally swam into the deep parts. He tried to put his feet down but instead he began sinking in the ocean. Nathan thought he was going to die. But all of a sudden a big whale swam up to him and put him on his back and the whale swam out farther into the ocean. After a few hours, Nathan spotted a huge ship coming towards him, and the whale swam right up to the ship. So Nathan got off the whale and onto the ship. To his surprise, he found out that the captain of the ship was his brother Gabe. After Gabe showed Nathan around the ship, he began to sailed in the direction of home, but Nathan didn’t know which direction was home. When Gabe finally sailed into the Bow River, and Nathan recognized this place and knew where he was now. They hopped out of the boat and said goodbye to the crew and walked home down the path. When they got home, they told Mommy and Daddy what happened, then they had lunch. The End.
Week 34 – 4 W’s of a Story
Milly Molly Mandy had to keep shop because Ms. Muggins had to leave. She was happy because she got to pretend to be a shopkeeper and sell stuff. But she was also happy that Ms. Muggins came back so she didn’t have to be a real shopkeeper until she grew up.
