The brave bull calf and the boy were friends – they did everything together. They went into the wild woods and they met a dragon. The dragon killed the bull and the boy cut off the bull’s horn and stuck it into the dragon’s foot and when he pulled it out, the dragon was dead.

Week 5 – How to Brush Your Teeth
Take your toothbrush out of the toothbrush holder. Don’t take someone else’s toothbrush because you might get them sick if you are sick. Put a little bit of toothpaste (not the girls’ toothpaste) on your toothbrush by squirting it. Wet the toothpaste on your toothbrush with water, and then brush! You take your toothbrush and brush the teeth inside your mouth with the toothpaste. Brush the front and the back and every part of your teeth. Brush everything in your mouth! Then, spit out the toothpaste and wash it down the drain with water. Take a sip of water and gargle it around in your mouth, and then spit it out so that you get all of the toothpaste out. Then you rinse your toothbrush with water and put it back in the toothbrush holder. Now your teeth are clean!
Week 4 – Story Elaboration
Original story: Luke swam. Luke won.
Luke lived by a river with crocodiles in it. One day he wanted to race a crocodile, who was very nice and wouldn’t try to bite him. It was a nice day. Lots of people from lots of places came to watch the race. Luke and the crocodile both swam their hardest. It was very close, but Luke won. Luke won a bag of chocolate from his dad. Luke felt pretty happy and shared his chocolate with the crocodile and some of the guys that were watching.
Week 4 – The Visitor (Grandpa and Grandma)
Last month, Grandpa and Grandma came to our house to have a visit. We drank chocolate milk, and they gave us lots of candy! We ate sausages. We put on a show for them, it was an acrobat show. While they were watching, we served them food (it was play food). Grandma showed us how to do a magic trick: We hid behind a blanket, and there were chairs behind the blanket. Nathan was on the blue chair, and I was on the green chair. We switched chairs, and then Dad pulled the blanket away so that Nathan was Gabe, and Gabe was Nathan. I like when they come to visit because I like Grandpa and Grandma and I like chocolate milk.
Week 4 – Digging for Dinosaurs (Imaginary Field Trip)
One of our field trips in our school bus was to a Dino Dig. I had a great time because there were lots of dinosaur bones. I even recognized some them! I recognized a Stegosaurus, a T-Rex, and some of the great Saurapods (those are the long-necked dinosaurs). There were paleontologists that were Christians and they told us how dinosaurs fit into the bible, which is nice because we get to know truth, instead of all those thoughts that dinosaur bones are millions and billions of years old. Our earth is only 5000 years old! The Paleontologists even let us dig. I got to use a tool that’s really good for finding the spot where dinosaur bones are buried – it’s called a bone-detector. We found lots of dinosaur bones. One of the dinosaur bones we didn’t know what it was, but the paleontologist knew – it was a Pachyrhinosaur skeleton. Before we left, the paleontologists let us bring back the skeleton that we uncovered. When we left, we realized that our teacher had been at a different part of the dig site and hadn’t seen all of the work that we’d done so we told her all about it. You should go on a Dino dig. It’s great!
Week 4 – The Super Stampede (I Remember)
I had a lot of fun at the stampede. There were a lot of pancakes and I ate some of them. I ate a lot of syrup with those pancakes! We also had cotton candy, which was super duper great, I mean, who wouldn’t like colored cotton fluff? We saw Chinese dragons with the acrobats in the theatre. One acrobat even stacked chairs really high and balanced and climbed them, and the bottom of those chairs was balanced on long-necked bottles on a table. Know what I thought about that? Not many people can do that! What if those bottles break? We rode the C-train to the Stampede, which I thought would be fun, but I didn’t know that it would be so squishy in there. We could hardly fit our stroller. But it was fun when we rode back because I got to sit down and look out the window and my brother got a seat, too. I had a pretty fun time at the Stampede. So did Gabe.
