Week 17 – The Race

Nathan and Gabe were tied together for a three-legged race. The race was from the grass, to the Great Wall of China (it was a long race). Mommy and Daddy, Abigail and Emily were at the race. Sophia was there too, but she wasn’t really watching. She heard the sounds though, which scared her and made her cry. Nathan started running faster with one of his legs, which made them start to turn around. Gabe started to run faster too, so they ended up turning back on the path. Then, something silly happened. All of the ropes broke and all of the partners started running on their own, and it became a two-legged race! Nathan ran faster than all the others and won! Gabe came in second place. The prizes were Shepherds Pie meals, so Nathan got the biggest one, and Gabe got a smaller meal. Meals don’t last long though, so after their meals, they also got trophies.

Week 15 – The Perfect Pet

Custard is my pet cat and she loves to play. She also likes treats! Every time I give her a treat, she tries to get the jar of treats and eat them all, but I always tell her not to. She also likes licking me, which is pretty funny. Sometimes, as a treat, I give her the ball of yarn to play with. She likes playing with me the most, and loves me most when she is with me.

Week 14 – Personification (Angry Ants)

Once upon a time, there lived two ants. The older ant was John, and his younger brother was Tim. They both liked a garbage truck, but there was only room for one ant at the window. They didn’t want to go to the garbage truck for food because they were afraid they might get picked up by the garage truck. They started fighting and getting angry at each other because they both wanted to see the garbage truck. When Momma Ant saw them and heard them she said, “Uh-uh. There are two windows. You shouldn’t be fighting over one window. You can each go to your own window.” They didn’t fight again at the window because they realized they loved each other more than the window.

Week 11 – Medieval Times

I like Medieval times because of the fights. I don’t like fighting, but I like how they fight. They fought on horseback with swords, spears, shields, helmets, breastplates, and boots. It was called jousting. Lots of people lived in castles. Not just kings and queens, but also their butlers, maids, cooks, guards and the fighting knights that promised to only fight for their king. They ate Beans, Cabbages, onions, Peas, Pears, Apple, Deer, Chickens, herbs, leeks, honey. We eat some of those foods, like beans & peas, but they eat deer, which we don’t. They didn’t wear jeans, runners, socks and stuff like that. Women wore big headdresses and long robes with long sleeves, and they wore a belt high above their waist. I wouldn’t want to live back then, I would rather live now, because I would’ve had to wait for a long time before Henry Ford was born and built cars to get around.

Week 8 – Story-Starters

week08-small Emma was a forest-explorer and she was looking for some treasure in the Bamboo Forest. Instead of finding treasure, she found a deer named Bambi! She wanted to bring the fawn home, but instead Bambi helped Emma find a treasure chest! Emma petted Bambi to say thank-you for helping to find the treasure (because she didn’t know how to speak “Deer”). Then, Emma took Bambi home.
